Hi Eyal,

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks in making this unique tour from Jewish Heritage and Believers of Yeshua’s perspective possible. It was truly a blessing that the group composed of various background – Messianic, Catholics, Jews (Judaism), Christians, Baptist, and Protestants were unified and led to become closer to one another because of the same goal of knowing more about the Creator of the Holy Land and the Holy City of Jerusalem.

Going up the Jerusalem, the song played were "The Holy City" and followed by “Yerushalayim Shel Zahav” which made a number of people shed to tears while the driver Oren and tour guide Yitzhak, sang with all their hearts. The Shehecheyanu at Mt Scopus at almost sundown, even led the Arab people staying there to worship with us and participate in the blessing. Our driver Ohren brought the wine and the Kiddush cups while we brought the bread.

On Sabbath night, Ruth, our Jewish “elder woman” led the Shabbat prayer and distributed the bread prior to Shabbat dinner. On Sabbath morning, we attended a traditional service at Jerusalem Great Synagogue, followed by a Messianic Service back in our hotel. I explained in English the Torah for that Shabbat (Parashat Toldot) as recited in the synagogue and connected this to the new covenant.

I also explained the biblical meaning of mezuzah and the menorah. After that lecture, almost everybody bought a menorah and mezuzah for themselves and for their friend and relatives, in addition to some goodies like the date honey, fresh dates, grounded coffee, and spices in the market. Three travelers had to buy each an additional luggage as they cannot be stopped in buying items in every site we visited! We even have to go to a jewelry factory (Yvel) to let the ladies buy some jewelry. And of course, we have not forgotten to go to the famous ladies’ beauty products – the Ahava Factory.

The “floating” in the Dead Sea, the Camel Ride, Abraham's Hospitality Tent, Ben Yehuda, the Shuk, the Temple Institute, Baptismal at Yardenit, the Latrun, and all the other sites visited have become unforgettable to everybody and my feedback was that there is no comparison to other countries they visited in Europe, America, Africa, and Asia. For them, this is the best tour they’ve ever had.

Again, thank you, Eyal for making this group tour become successful and a blessing to every traveler

Dear Eyal, to say that our trip to Israel was a dream come true is not doing it enough justice. It was beyond amazing and magnificently planned every step of the way. Having such a knowledgeable leader, Rod and beyond superb guide Yiitzhak gave us a fountain of information that made us feel so connected to Israel and its history. Every detail of the trip was so carefully planned that it allowed us to cover way more than I had expected to see.

The great hotel in Jerusalem and absolutely amazing hotels in Tiberias and the Dead Sea complemented the fabulous tours making our trip complete. I am so grateful to Rod and Ray for personally taking such good care of me and looking out for my safety. I can't thank them enough. And last but not least, thank you for so carefully and fabulously planning everything. Number one on my Bucket List is now checked off.

Todah Rabah and Shalom

Hello, I would like you to know that the recent Israel trip which was initiated and organized by Rod was amazing. I have nothing but positive feelings about the experience. It was inspiring, fun, extremely informative, heartwarming, and very well organized. Our tour guide, Yitzhak Vaknin, was very knowledgeable, very kind and respectful, and very funny. He made the trip an unforgettable experience. I was very pleased that our meals were included, which was very helpful. The hotels were good. I would have liked to spent one more day at the dead sea but honestly, my favorite part of the trip was time spent in Jerusalem, which is where we spent the majority of our time.

This was my first time in Israel and I hope to return soon. I will recommend any other Israel trips organized by Rod to my friends because it was such a wonderful experience.

Best,
Jennifer Richman

Hi Eyal,

As you know, we just got back from Israel, and I just wanted to let you know that my mother and myself truly enjoyed our trip. It was an experience of a lifetime. Everything went off like clockwork, starting with our airport pick up, continuing with the tours of all the different beautiful places we visited, and ending with the on time drop off back at the airport loaded with a ton of wonderful memories, and souvenirs, to take home with us. Thank you so much, and look forward to booking our next trip again with you.

Hello Eyal,
I want to thank you for all the arrangements that you had done for my trip in Israel - everything went like clockwork without any stress. Thank you for making this long awaited desire possible. I enjoyed myself thoroughly and just got back from India after being with my mom. The hotels, staff and the entire tour was exceptional. I loved every bit of Israel from the people to the food, weather and every place in the land - I can't stop talking about the trip. I had two wonderful guides and great set of people to fellowship. I have friends looking to travel in 2015 to Israel and I am forwarding your contact information to them. One of them lives in Florida.

Eyal, may 2015 be a rich year for you and your family, God's hand be upon you always - have a wonderful, blessed New Year and God willing I am looking to be in Israel in 2015 again to visit and capture other memories.

Shalom,

Hi Eyal
I'm finally finding time to write and thank you for our wonderful trip to Israel. As I go back through our pictures I'm remembering how special this tour was just a few weeks ago.

We were so lucky to have Hillel as our guide. And we loved the small group size. Hillel has such a vast background to provide us the historical, cultural, and religious perspective of Israel's many sacred sights that we visited. He was full of energy and a willingness to stop at several additional sights. We felt very secure with Hillel.

A couple of things stand out especially: Going on the fishing boat on the Sea of Galilee where Hillel arranged for us to join a Christian group and we loved the Scripture readings and music along the way.

Of course Jerusalem was very special and we had 5 days to see as much as we could. We really appreciated the extra help Hillel gave to return to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher very early on a Sunday so we could attend Mass at the Tomb of Jesus. So grateful he gave us this extra opportunity because we knew the logistics were tricky, yet he was willing to do it for us.
It was a trip of a lifetime and had been on our list to do for 25 years. After researching several different tours I felt that the CTTI itinerary included all the key places we wanted to see - from the big cities along the Mediterranean, to the northern areas, and all along the Sea of Galilee, Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, then to Eilat in the south, and even a day at Petra in Jordan.

Thanks so much for checking in on us during the tour. We have so many good memories of Israel.

Regards, Anne Life is Good

Hi Eyal.

My husband and I had a memorable and spiritual experience on our trip to Israel. Reuven was great. Very patient and answered our many questions. He was aware of some safety issues in Jeruselum and kept us updated on our itinerary..   Our bus driver Albert showed his expertise in maneuvering that huge tour bus. I love history. This trip allowed me to connect Biblical history to reality. To be where Jesus ministered in the Galilee region. That  area  was beautiful and  so peaceful. I could envision  Jesus and His disciples visiting the seaside towns preaching.. Traveling up to Jeruselum moved all of us.  Touring  the Old City especially the Mount of Olives and the Western Wall. So much to take in. Such a panoramic view!  My husband and I enjoyed the "healthy" food. Accommodations were great. The most enjoyable hotel was @ Gai Beach. Baptism in the River Jordan and having lunch in the Judean Desert unforgettable. I don't do animals but my husband got a kick out of the camel ride.  Since we have been back I have shared so much with my family and friends in pictures and words. I cannot stop talking about it.

Shalom.

To Eyal,

Thanks for working with me for two years to have a great pilgrimage to the Holy Land. I promoted this trip as a trip of a lifetime and it more than fulfilled my expectations. I wanted a pilgrimage that including trips to Haifa, Tiberius as well as adequate time in Jerusalem. CTTI's representative, Eyal was able to customize the tour to meet all of our groups needs with maintaining the cost within acceptable range. We stayed in five different but wonderful hotels. Many tour just stay in Jerusalem and make day trips to the different cities. My group thoroughly enjoyed staying the city we were visiting. It allowed us to meet the other guest and hear their stories.

The weather was perfect with the temperature ranging from 65-80 depending on the area. November is harvest time in Israel. The fresh fruits and vegetable were plentiful and delicious. I was introduced to many ways of preparing fresh fruits and vegetables. My favorite vegetables each night were the many grilled vegetables. Breakfast and dinner were included in our package. The variety and quantity of food offered at breakfast allowed many in the group to skip lunch. The tour guide was knowledgeable about reasonable place for lunch.

The tour guide, Reuben Nevo and the bus drive Albert. were extraordinary. Albert was courtesy and helpful with the seniors of the trip. The passion and knowledge of Israel that Reuben exhibited could not be equaled. Many other tour guides daily stated that we had the best guide in Israel- and I agreed. He was fun, energetic and personable. He was willing to answer every question and my group was loaded with questions from the moment he stepped on bus!

Eyal was in contact by telephone and email to respond to questions and progress of the trip. I hope to bring another group in 2016. Thanks again. We will never read the Bible the same.

Shalom,

Peggy

Hello Eyal,

Laura and I wish to thank you for organizing our tour to Israel and Jordan in what turned out to be one of our most memorable vacations!  Your hotel and tour recommendations were most appreciated, and your suggestion to fly to Eilat worked out very well, as we not only had an amazing visit to Petra, Jordan but were also able to visit Egypt and the Sinai as well.

Our tour guide, Jacky Maayan, was absolutely outstanding.  He was extremely knowledgeable, always fielded our questions—usually with delightful stories of Israel’s historic perspective.  His wonderful sense of humor will not be forgotten.  He always went out of his way to accommodate the tour participants, and demonstrated the utmost professionalism.  When our tour had to make modifications due to the timing of Rosh Hashanah, Yacky provided even more sites to see than was on the tour itinerary.  He not only met our expectations—he exceeded them!

Christian Tours to Israel provided a great experience, with packed but enjoyable itineraries, and we felt safe in our travels at all times.  Thank you once again for a very a delightful experience!

Hello Shalom,

I just want to say thank you for doing such a wonderful job of organizing our tour in Israel. Everything was fabulous. We had the best tour guides, the hotels were excellent and the food was amazing. Not once did Joann and I feel unsafe. In fact we felt safer over there than here. All the military presence was very comforting.
We went all the way from the north of Israel to Eilat in the south and into Jordan to see Petra. The whole journey was perfect. We were so glad that you had taken the time to research everything for us. We really appreciated what you had done. Your phone calls were very welcome as well.
This was a perfect time to travel in Israel. There were no line ups anywhere and we enjoyed every moment of our trip. Meni was outstanding as a guide; he was kind, thoughtful and punctual and very interesting. We all fell in love with him.
Thank you again for a wonderful holiday and if anyone needs encouragement tell them to feel free to call me.

Dear Shalom,
I want to thank you for planning the most amazing tour imaginable. My sister and I went on July 19th right in the midst of the war going on in Gaza. I had no intention of canceling - I determined that there are two ways of making a decision - one out of fear and the other out of love. Being a Christian there is only one way and that is out of love - love casteth out fear. When I decided to go to Israel for a tour I looked on the internet and the first one I came upon was Shalom Journeys. I read the reviews and decided no use going any further - I have already found the best. It was by far the best tour ever. We only had 15 on our Christian tour and we had Meni as our guide who was a truly amazing guide. He looked after us so well - was like a mother hen with her chicks. We never felt in danger at any point all the time we were there. Day after day was an incredible experience all because you,

Shalom had planned an amazing Christian tour for us and had chosen Meni as our guide. The guides in Israel and Jordan all have to take a two year University course in tour guiding. They are extremely knowledgable in Old Testament, New Testament and the history of the land and so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for an amazing, completely safe, sweet tour with Meni.

We went everywhere from the Golan Heights far north to Eilat at the southern tip and enjoyed every minute immensely and felt completely safe the whole time. We were totally blessed as well because there was no line ups anywhere as many of the other tours had cancelled. Not one person on our tour cancelled. There was a mother with her four beautiful daughters on our tour as well as a young woman doctor and her 13 year old son from Australia and a set of grandparents and their beautiful teenage daughter and a young couple from Singapore as well as a young woman from SanFrancisco and my sister and myself from Canada. We truly bonded with each other and all of us were so thankful and appreciative of every moment and thrilled at all the places that Men took us. His teaching and presence was a huge blessing to us - always. I would never have wanted to miss what we experienced in that 10 day tour.

Some special highlights specific to your tour that made us completely comfortable the whole time were:

* You chose very beautiful and comfortable hotels with good proximity to places.
* Breakfasts and suppers were included and the food was wonderful.
* Your tour was very well organized, and the pace was good. We saw all of Israel in 10 days and now have a very good understanding of the whole area.
* The tour guide, Meni, did both the driving and the teaching and always considered our feelings trying always to get us as close to sites as possible so that we could conserve energy. He was our leader but also was a very compassionate friend to each one of us. It was nice having him drive as well as teach as he was able to make excellent decisions very quickly and was always considering us and involving us regarding these decisions.
* The two lunches that were provided as part of the tour were very high quality - one was at Wadi Mousa at the base of Petra in Jordan. The restaurant that you had chosen for us was top quality and had won awards - the food was not only excellent but the decor of it was amazing with an awesome view. The other lunch was a lovely simple lunch in a Bedouin tent following a fun time riding camels.
* Excellent service at Ben Gurion Airport - your guide met us and very efficiently took us to our hotel where we could rest before our first lovely supper.
* You called us several times to check on us making us feel very secure that you cared for us and that you were very closely monitoring the situation for us. You called us when we arrived home - I feel like you are a friend caring about us.

Others that I met along the way were having trouble even contacting their tour agent so I have already been recommending you. I will definitely be recommending you to all I meet.

If my children and grandchildren decide to go to Israel, I would like them to experience the awesomeness of your tour organization and chosen guides and hotels and your caring phone calls. I will consider looking nowhere else but Shalom Journeys to help them to plan their first trip to Israel.

Thank you, Shalom, for not only being a truly amazing tour agent but also an amazing host in offering us a beautiful time in the Holy Land.

Hi Eyal,
My sincere apologies for not writing to you before now about our trip to Israel. It has been crazy at our house getting two children off to school out of town and one back in High school here. Not to mention the fact that the first week back I was catching up at our company and home.

Anyway, I had to write to you and tell you what an awesome time we had in Israel. It was by far the BEST trip I have ever had over there. EVERYTHING you organized and helped me plan was PERFECT!!! First of all the VIP service that you suggested was WONDERFUL!!! The nicest man met us as soon as we de-boarded and escorted us directly to customs via a van on the tar-mat. No line at Customs either! Another guide also checked on us at baggage to make sure the Howard family had arrived safely. Then we were introduced to our driver and about that time, sirens went off. I was so happy to have someone with us I was not afraid, but my girls were struggling. The driver took us to a safe place and the man who met us at the plane stayed with our luggage. After 10 minutes or so, the driver took us straight to the hotel with no delay.

The restaurants you recommended in Tel Aviv were wonderful when we arrived before the tour began. Of course Independence Hall and the Carmel market too. Then our tour began...Wow!!! I have no words to describe it. We had 15 people on our tour and it was perfect! I will never again be on a tour with more than 15. We got to be such dear friends. But the REAL highlight of our tour was Meni Tzabari, our tour guide. He became family to us too. Please see below what I wrote to Trip Advisor about him...

"My four daughters and I returned from the best tour I have EVER had to Israel last Wednesday. Our tour guide was Meni Tzabari. I have been to Israel 2 previous times, but Meni's knowledge and personality was more than BOTH combined. He was OVER the top. First, he was very personable and we immediately felt like family on day one. We had 15 on our tour. He had all 15 names down within the first hour. He drew each one in personally in his explanations with humor and fun. Always had a laugh with his depth of knowledge. It was a time of intense safety issues while we were there. Meni always assured us that our safety was first.Once he could have picked us by bus, but chose to have us walk with him for security because he was getting updates about the state of affairs at each location. My girls rage in age from 17-27.They were concerned that the trip would not be fun and all they can talk about is how wonderful it was and that Meni was the person who made it for them. After the tour, 7 of us invited Meni for lunch and he joined us for a farewell lunch. I left one daughter there to attend TAU. Meni has even checked on her and has assured me that he will continue to do so. Also, when I was leaving, I got an email from Meni checking to see if we were okay at airport because of rockets over Tel Aviv at that time. There are no words to describe our time and all because of Meni. When we return to Israel, I will ONLY request Meni for our tour guide. It was the richest experience of my life and for my daughters too."

After the tour, we and 3 others from our tour stayed in Jerusalem. The three others actually changed their reservation because they liked our hotel better and we could be together doing things. Your suggestions with the City of David, the Tunnels, the Davidson Center and the Light show were awesome. It was exactly what I wanted. My girls had a wonderful time.

God was very good about putting the perfect group together. My girls were concerned that there would only be older people. In fact there was a young boy who was 15 with his mother from Australia(two of the ones who stayed with us Jerusalem after the trip). There was a 19 year old precious girl from California with her grandparents. And there was a 30 year single gal.(other who stayed with us) This gal actually stayed in Tel Aviv after we all left as well and she and Georganne went all over Tel Aviv and Jaffa together and shared a hotel until Georganne could get into her dorm!! Can you believe all of this???

Our Georganne is settled at TAU and she loves it. She is in a dorm on campus presently, but she hopes to move into an apartment in a few months. Her number there is 972 526 047 637 in case your daughter would like to contact her.

She loves Tel Aviv!

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You were so wonderful, patient, kind and helpful across the boards for planning the trip of our lives. We always felt totally safe. I will call you again when we are going.

All the best,
Tee Gee

Hi Eyal,

I want to thank you again for arranging a truly wonderful trip for me and my children. Your people were there at every turn to make sure that things went according to plan. I appreciated your phone calls during our trip to make sure that things were going according to plan and that there weren’t any problems. I appreciated the VIP service at the airport. It was well worth the extra cost. The hotels were all very nice, and the executive lounge was certainly worthwhile in each location that had one.

Turning now to our guide, Hillel Bar Sade. You told us that he was the best. You certainly did not exaggerate! I found Hillel to be extremely personable, knowledgeable, fun, smart, engaging, and extraordinarily energetic. Hillel had a special ability to have in-depth conversations with me on our private tour, and at the same time keep my two teenagers engaged as well. Hillel was able to explain so many things from his unique perspective of having lived through it.

I would highly recommend you and Hillel to anyone seeking to have a quality trip to Israel with excellent accommodations, recommendations and a rich experience that one will never forget.

I know that my children and I are much richer from this experience. I look forward to booking my next trip through you.

Thanks again!

Hi Eyal,
I wanted to drop you a line thanking you for the guidance you provided in booking the Holy Land tour with you. Nancy and I along with Rick and Sally enjoyed ourselves and will remember this trip the rest of our lives.

It may have been 11 day tour but it was over before I knew it. The hotels were great and the food at the hotel's restaurant was abundant and varied. Many choices for both breakfast and dinner. I was especially pleased with our main tour guide Hilik Silfin. He has 38 years experience and was familiar with all the sites we visited. We must of taken 500 plus pictures, not real that many when you consider it was a digital camera, we brought along a second SD card but didn't end up using it.

The people of Israel are very friendly and quite engaging, I would visit again given the opportunity.

Thanks again, Eyal.

Sincerely,
Tom

Hi Shalom

I meant to email you immediately after we returned from our amazing trip to Israel to say thank you.  Then I was busy with Shavuos and sending kids to camp, and time slipped away.  Now things in Israel seem so different from when we were there just 7 weeks ago.  We had an amazing visit, due in no small part to your excellent planning.  Every single member of my family loved our experience for different reasons.  We all hope to go back soon.

Here is a picture of our family with Hillel the tour guide.  I hope you are able to send many more visitors to Israel now and in the future.

May we quickly have a strong peace in Israel.

Dear Shalom:

We are back home safe and tired after a long trip.  Now all that remains are the memories of a wonderful vacation, like no other so far.  In spite of the rocket warnings, we enjoyed it fully and have no regrets whatsoever.

Now, allow me to list a few of the most important aspects of this trip (in no particular order):

  • Your choice of hotels was impeccable.  You interpreted my requests very well.  What I asked for is what I got.
  • The food at these hotels was the best.
  • The tour was well organized, paced and directed.  The places we went could not be of more interest to us.
  • The tour director, Mr. Eli Dabi (00 972 50-7218884, [email protected]) is the best we have had in all our travels.  In spite of the rockets arousing us all, he managed to keep the tour’s composure and not one of us decided to quit before of time.
  • The driver was also very nice and participated more as a companion also and not only a driver.
  • VIP treatment at Ben Gurion was unexpected but so welcome. We were impressed.

And the list can go on but I have left the best for last:  My travel Agent calling me to see how things were doing after the sale was done?  Come on Shalom, this I did not expect from you nor anybody.  You called me four times throughout the trip. This made us feel safe knowing somebody was monitoring our trip and, if time had come to cut the trip short because of the ongoing war, I am sure you would had told us.  Very nice of you and much appreciated.

I will recommend you to anybody I can.  If my kids manage to combine their school itineraries, I would like them to experience the same we have.  If that time comes, rest assured I will call you to arrange it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Truly,

Ing. Ruben Wolozny

Greetings Shalom

Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed our recent tour of Isreal that you arranged for us. Our tour finished March 12. however, as we went to Turkey and Germany after touring Isreal, we did not get home until April 11. I should have written sooner, but I have had a lot of catching up to do. It is spring here in Alaska, the snow in the yard finally all melted yesterday. So there is lots of yard work to do.Just to let you know that our Isreal tour went as planned, which is to say we had a wonderful time and enjoyed every mintue of it.

Thanks so much for arranging it. The whole tour turned out even much better than we imagined. All way from the excellant transfers(which made our arrival and departures so much less stressful), to the very nice hotels with their excellant foods (having both breakfast and dinners provided made the tour much more relaxing), and the wonderful tour itself. I could not believe that we so forunate as to have only 7 people in a small van for our tour. I guess that was part of booking a tour early in the season. Our guide from Rent-a-Guide, Hilik Silfin, really made the tour so enjoyable. He really knew everything about the history and culture of Isreal and he imparted it in a very enjoyable way. He was a real delight as was the other people on the tour.

Our tour was a pleasant experience that we will rember for a long time. We learned so much and our appreaciation for Isreal has grown evern more. Thanks again for your help in arranging such a god tour, including our tour to Petra. The border crossing into Jordan and seeing the Petra site was a real educational experience. Something else to rember for a long time.

Sincerely,

Charles and Nancy Britton

I'm so glad we booked our Israel trip with you. It was great. We went March 18. The weather was perfect. Everything mentioned in the itinerary was correct. Airport transfers were exactly on time. The hotels were comfortable with great food. The Kibbutz Lavi was so much fun, with a beautiful view. And, of course, the guides (Aaron and Juvall) were so knowledgeable. We learned a lot, and it really made the Bible come alive.

Hi Eyal,

Sorry it has taken so long for me to tell you what an incredibly wonderful trip we had to Israel. When I got home, my store had been broken into and robbed, and I was out straight trying to get caught up from being gone and dealing with that. But I SHOULD have taken the time to let you know what an AMAZING trip we had. Everything was really wonderful. And you were right. Hilel IS without a doubt the best guide in Israel. I have traveled all over the world, but never had a guide as knowledgeable AND as able to adapt a trip to fit the individual needs of his guests. He and Danielle were THE BEST.

We could also see daily how well respected he was by the other guides. We had a fantastic trip, and also especially liked the guide we had driving through Wadi Ram in Jordan. I had incredibly high expectations for Petra, and it exceeded my expectations! Sorry again it has taken so long to let you know what a fantastic adventure you set up for us.

I hope if you are ever in Northern California, that you will come visit.

I do hope this will help for my neglect, this has been such a bad winter, glad it is over. You can see I had such a WONDERFUL time, thanks to you and Hillel, I am trying my best to send you some more business.

Hillel took this picture with Margo's still camera. He had just told us what we were sitting on. I am old enough to realize what is was but Margo did not know and she got a big kick out of it.

Great talking to you and I will get back to you one way or other. Thanks for everything.

Eyal,

I just wanted to write and thank you for your part in helping us visit the Holy Land. At first when I was invited to go to Israel I was not that enthusiastic about going.  I regularly go on missions trips to countries around the world and felt that was the best investment of my travel funds. However, a very dear friend paid my way to Israel so I decided that my wife must go with me if I was going to make the trip.

I have traveled much oversees but I must confess that my trip to Israel has been the highlight of all of my travels. To see the history, culture, archeology, and sites of the Holy Land was and unbelievable experience. I learned so much in eight days and was reminded of how much I have yet to learn about the place where Jesus walked. It was truly inspiring to sail on the Sea of Galilee and walk down from the Mount of Olives toward Jerusalem. It was a life changing trip to say the least.

Some couples have began to ask about the possibility of a group from our church going back next year or the year after. I will let you know how those discussions progress. I was not planning the first trip but I went and now perhaps there is a second trip in the plans that I do not yet know about.

I will keep in touch.

Thanks again!

My husband and I went on a trip to Israel in March 2014 led by Evangelist August Rosado and organized by Eyal Even, Senior Israel Specialist with CTTI - Christian Tours to Israel.

Mr. Even took care of every detail of our trip and was very pleasant to work with. The guide that he scheduled for our group was very knowledgeable and experienced and the driver was exceptional.

If anyone is planning a trip to Israel I would recommend having Eyal Even and CTTI schedule the trip.

We have many wonderful memories of our Holy Land experience thanks to Mr. Even and CTTI.

Hello, Eyal,

Just wanted to thank you for making such great arrangements for our trip to Israel this past Dec/Jan. It was a wonderful trip, the trip of a lifetime. Our guide was excellent and the sites were magnificent. The hotels we stayed at were very nice, and the food was so enjoyable. Our tour transportation and our rides to and from the airport were always reliable - on time and comfortable rides. We appreciated how organized and well run the entire trip was. All the details worked out very smoothly. Thank you for doing such a great job getting it all set up!

Happy New Year!

I wanted to write you an email about the trip. It was truly a great trip. We even got a private tour to the Negev with just Linda and me, because no one else signed up to go down there. The food was great, everything was done professionally with a smile, there was no stress, I actually recovered from jet lag while on the tour. I loved our two guides. We saw everything we wanted to see, and didn't see anything we didn't want to see. I couldn't be happier with a tour.

Thanks again for a wonderful tour!

Hi Shalom:

Just a quick note to tell you how amazing everything went. From the second we landed in Israel there hasn't been anything but pure joy and pleasure. Mali, our tour guide, was incredible, so knowledgeable, professional, sweet, and fun. Our hotels were beautiful, the accommodations were first class/top shelf in every situation. Our contact in Israel has been overwhelmingly kind and switched things up for us so we can leave Jerusalem today and travel to Tel Aviv for two days since we missed that part of the trip at the beginning of our tour. She was terrific too.

There are no words to describe the history and sites we saw on our tour. You outdid yourself for us and we will never forget our experience and the way you took very good care of us.

We have already recommended you to family and friends and will urge them to visit soon.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for memories that will last a lifetime.

If you are planning a trip to the Holy Land, I highly recommend Shalom Journeys.  Shalom took a personal interest in every aspect of our trip.  We felt as if his highest priority was for this trip to be the "trip of a lifetime" for all involved.  He communicated with us often and effectively and his concern for detail was exceptional.  From the moment we landed until we were safely at our concourse to leave, Shalom ensured our needs were met and our experience was as free from problems as humanly possible.  The transportation was comfortable and clean.  We saw all of the "must-sees" and several extras.  Our guide, Hillel Bar Sadeh, was extremely knowledgeable, not just about the popular sites and history but also lesser known spots.  His passion for his people and nation was apparent and his vast network of friends made the history of Israel come to life.

Since Shalom did such a great job of handling all the details, our group was able to focus on the purpose of the trip.  We each wanted to gain a greater understanding of Christ by walking where He walked.  And, because we didn't have to worry about the travel details we were able to do just that.  I simply can't say enough good things about Shalom and Hillel and all they did to enhance our experience in the Holy Land.

Dear Eyal,
As we mentioned at our breakfast this past week the tour that you put together for our parish, The Church of the Precious Blood was astounding. From the minute we got off the plane we felt so comfortable to be in good hands with the CTTI representative. After being escorted by the CTTI representative and meeting our tour guide Hillel, our religious, educational and historical journey started with great enthusiasm. Imagine a tour guide that has great knowledge of both Old and New Testaments from the Holy Bible, and has you living the lives of all cultures living in the past and present Israel. On top of singing our Christian songs, we had Hillel singing traditional and up lifting Hebrew songs and prayers. The accommodations and food were very good. Our extra trip to Jordan was handled with the same precision as the trip to Israel. The only setback we had was the delay on the Allenby crossing. I would recommend that the Tour Guide in Jordan make arrangements for the VIP pass at the Allenby Bridge or go north to the next entrance to Israel. The Allenby Bridge has been known to have from 3 to 15 hour delays.

We will be back to Israel in the future and stay at our favorite sites a little longer.

Honestly some people have said they feel like we ripped you off with such a good deal. 9 days in a hotel, 20 meals, bus driver, guide, amazing bus, national park tickets, and somebody picking up our bags back and forth to the rooms. I just wanted to say that my husband and I LOVED the Shalom Journeys tour!  It more than exceeded our expectations.  Everything you said in the itinerary happened with no glitches.  When we arrived at the airport in Tel Aviv, there was a gentleman waiting for us.  He escorted us to a car that drove us into Jerusalem.  All of the hotels we stayed at were comfortable, clean and pleasant - We stayed at the Jerusalem Gardens, Kubbutz Lavi and Tal Hotels.  The breakfasts and dinners were delicious and were included in the price of the tour.  We had two different tour guides who were knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and were very respectful.  Plus they were fun to travel with.  We saw so many areas and sites in Israel and learned so much about the history and religious sites.  The Israeli people were friendly and welcoming.  We loved our time in Israel and would love to return sometime in the future.  Thank you Shalom Journeys for a very memorable time.

Good Morning Shalom,

Just returned home from a trip of a lifetime!

Thank you for making our tour arrangements, we had a great time in Israel. Hilik our tour guide for the whole time we were there was wonderful. He was very nice and very knowledgeable! He knew a lot about the biblical, geographical, historical and political stories of the places we visited.

The accommodations were great. The Grand Beach hotels were very nice so was the Lavi Kibbutz hotel. Food was really good at both places!

Everything about our tour was great. I like the fact that we were in a small group, 16 people maximum. it felt more personalized and less hurried. The van was super comfortable and clean.

Again, thank you very much! I will certainly recommend your agency to my friends and relatives who might be interested in touring Israel in the furure.

Thank you,

Hey Eyal,

I just wanted to drop you a line about the tours you set up for us in Israel. To say that we enjoyed our time with Hillel would be a gross understatement. We had an absolutely wonderful few days with him and I cannot tell you how much he made our stay in Jerusalem memorable. He was of course on time, very engaging with the children, and extremely accommodating to our needs.

His knowledge of both Judaism and Christianity was paramount to the wonderful discussions I had with him about life in Israel. He is such a happy and engaging person that both me and my wife felt so fortunate to have such a tour guide. The next time I return to Israel I will most certainly seek his services. Indeed, next summer I will be financing a trip from Ottawa to Israel and I hope to use both you and him to guide them through the land.

Thanks once again and please forward to Hillel either this e-mail or our extreme gratitude and thanks for the wonderful time he showed us.

God Bless

Our group for the first week had 18 people and we have new friends that will always be dear. Our guide, Nedal Abdo, was excellent. It has been twenty years since we last visited Israel. We were surprised at how much had changed! There are much more extensive excavations and most of the sites seemed new and exciting. We are especially glad that we took the optional day trip to Petra. It was truly an adventure to a remarkable place!

Hello Shalom,

I am so sorry to hear about Sandy and I hope that you are and your family and friends are all safe in what is a horrific storm. It is so hard to imagine Manhatten completely shut down.

I still have the holiday blues, the trip was that spectacular! Coming back to every day life is hard after such a life changing experience.

Doron Hoffman was an exceptional, charasmatic, knowledgable tour guide. He spoke with such passion and conviction. I learnt more about ancient history than I have my whole life. I found the tour to be my far the best I have ever been on. We certainly made the most of every day and when I travelled on my own afterwards I certainly appreciated being on a tour, for things like knowing the odd hours of the museums and just logistically getting from one place to another.

I completely understood while the other Americans on the tour, who had been to Israel a few times, still chose to go on this tour as Jerusalem is quite challenging to get around on your own without knowing Hebrew and the best places to go when. There was a maximum of ten people on the tour and it was extremely well organised.

The hotels were exceptional and in Israel they all love Australians so I never felt unsafe or uncomfortable. There were other Australians on part of the tour I went on, from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide and they all loved their time on tour.

As a youngish woman of 35 I was able to walk along the esplanade of the beaches in Tel Aviv as classical music was played and their fairy lights swayed everywhere in the moonlight.

There are so many people around in Tel Aviv and they will never overcharge you. I had a few situations actually where people told me, it is not extra for this or that as I thought it would be. Jerusalem is a magical place and I think you really will make the most of your holiday with this tour. It is such a long way to fly from Australia, I wanted to make every moment count and I truly did.

Plus the food was the best I have ever tasted, so fresh and the cheese! There was cheese with everything, ricotta cherry mousse for breakfast, cream cheese brownies, the salads were so fresh and the fish was so full of flavour.

I asked Doron for some business cards to give to my friends. I most highly recommend Shalom Journeys. I did a lot of reseach myself as I found Australian travel agents could not offer me the tour I wanted. Have a truly unforgettable experience knowing that Shalom Journeys really have everything covered you could ever think of, so that all you will have to do is enjoy yourself.

Happy holidays!

Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart Shalom. I will never forget was a magical place Israel is and I very much hope one day I will be fortunate enough to return. If so, I will be calling you!

May you be safe during this horrific natural tragedy.

My thoughts are with you.

Hi Shalom,

Sorry for the late reply. I was sick for two weeks after I returned to Hong Kong. I guess it was not due to the holiday itself. We were very happy with the tour arrangement, in terms of transportation, accommodation and itinerary. The car was very comfortable, big enough for 6 including our luggages. Our travel and meals were not affected due to Sabbath and Sukkot holiday. The tour guide was very knowledgable and helpful. We learned a lot about the history and the culture. Our requests for extension of time in some stops or even extra stop due to shopping were all fulfilled. It was a bit rush in some of the spots (e.g. stopped for 20-30mins) but there is so much to see in Israel and it was a 7-day tour, so we could understand that. Most of all, thanks for all your help in pulling together our tour and your prompt responses.

Really appreciate that.

Dear Eyal
Thank you.

We are back and now fully recovered from the Jet-lack. We had wonderful time in Israel. The first week in North Israel with Hoffman Duran, was most exciting. This man knew the biblical as well as historical background of the places we visited. His presentation was exceedingly great compared to the other two fellows. He was enthusiastic and very social. The trip itself was well coordinated, and we appreciated it. Areas most interesting were of course Jerusalem (the city of God), Galilee, Nazareth, Dead sea, Jordan River and Petra. Living conditions were excellent and the food was fabulous (indeed the land of milk and honey). We mostly enjoyed the two days at Lavi Kibutz. We loved Israel and we shall go back in the near future.

Thank you very much for all the trouble you took to make sure our pilgrimage was a blessed experience.

Dear Eyal;

The Christian tour you prepared for us in Israel was wonderful! We were welcomed at the airport and began our journey. The Dan Panorama Hotels and Lavi were excellent accommodations. Our rooms were large, comfortable and clean. The staff members were most helpful and easy to communicate with. The food was outstanding with a selection larger than any offered by an ocean cruise line. My sister in law and I were traveling alone but were put with a small group of English speaking tourists from other parts of the U.S., Africa, Australia and New Zealand. It made our trip even more eventful. I highly recommend Shalom Journeys to anyone interested in going to the Holy lands.

Jonathan

I am just getting around to sending you an e-mail about my trip to Israel. My wife and I agree that this was the best trip we have ever taken. Everything was great. The hotels were perfect; the food was terrific; the State of Israel is amazing. Our guide, Doron Hoffman was knowledgeable and passionate about his country. He had a great sense of humor. Planning though you and Shalom Journeys went smoothly. As you know we booked the 10 day Jewish Heritage Tour and it met our desires perfectly. I can't believe that we saw so may sights and sites in the 6 days of touring. The Carlton, Kibbutz Lavi and the Mamilla in Jerusalem far exceeded our expectations. However, getting used to the Shabbat elevator was a novelty.

I would heartily recommend Shalom Journeys to my friends who are contemplating a trip to Israel and my wife and I plan to return to Israel soon. Again, thanks for your assistance and advice.

Hi Shalom;
Let me begin with thanking you for your VIP service in Israel. When we landed in Tel Aviv after a 14 hr and 23 min flight...seeing someone with a warm Jewish smile waiting for us was amazing!! She helped us with our luggage and trans-versing through customs and the airport into a waiting taxi!  Then, after all our adventures in Israel...having this amazing, funny and warm young Israeli man help us with the heavier luggage (souvenirs) and avoid the huge and long security lines was so helpful as we were exhausted and it was after midnight. YOUR VIP treatment is not a luxury during those times, but a necessity!!! We could have never made it through the airport without these wonderful people. Again, thanks for advising us to do this.

Next, our Israel adventure was truly that...we saw sooo many sites and had so many wonderful experiences. Without our pictures, we couldn't remember them all!  We came home tired but full of exciting pictures and stories to share with our family and friends.

Our 1st hotel, the Carlton in Tel Aviv made it very difficult for the other hotels to compete...like how can you when you have a fabulous Israeli breakfast buffet overlooking the Mediterranean!  Impossible! Our balcony room facing the sea allowed us to hear the surf all night!

Although the Imbal and the Dan Elat were very nice...we could not forget the Mediterranean.

So in closing. Harvey and I want to thank you for giving us an experience we will cherish the rest of our lives.

P.S. It was so thoughtful of you to call us in Tel Aviv to check on us and give us a restaurant recommendation...Gilly's.

Shalom

Hi Shalom,

Thank you very much for the excellent way in which you arranged our Israel/Eilat/Petra/Egypt tour during the period April 21st to May 4th, 2012. We did not experience any trouble or difficulty during this trip. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful not only while taking us to the various landmarks and places of interest but also at the Israel/Jordan/Egyptian borders encountering no visa problems. The stay at the four hotels was wonderful especially at the Dan Panorama Hotel in Eilat with its style and cleanliness.

I wanted to drop a note to thank you for the excellent and professional service during our March, 2012 trip to Israel. As I mentioned to you on my call – we were traveling to visit our daughter who is mid-way through a semester abroad in Jerusalem. Just as you did for us in 2008, the arrangements that you made for us on this trip were flawless. The VIP service that we received at Ben Gurion in Tel Aviv was a welcome pleasure following our long flight and the drivers that you arranged for our transfers were kind, pleasant, and very mindful of our travel fatigue. At the hotel, they referred to you as “our agent” and treated us with the respect and high level of customer service that comes with along with your business relationship with those in Israel. I appreciate our relationship and will look forward to discussing our next trip – whenever that is going to be.
Best to you and your family for a happy, healthy, and successful 2012!

Hi Shalom Journeys,

I traveled with the Scott Sekulow group through your travel company from 11/13/11--11/21/11.

The trip was fantastic, with Hillel being our tour guide, he was wonderful. My 11th trip to Israel, and definitely the most unique. I was greatly pleased. Could have had a bit more down time, however. But some significant sights I'd not been to yet.

Thank you so much and Erev Shabbat Shalom,

Good afternoon Eyal

We want to let you know that we have enjoyed very much your trip to Israel as well as the land tour with Diesenhaus Unitours and especially our tour guide, Menahem (Mani), who was with us for 10 days.  He was very knowledgeable and very interesting.  Mani knew his subjects very well and was ready to take few more steps of interests in order to satisfy our group of 14, which was coming from US, Australia, South Africa and of course Ottawa.

We also enjoyed the Dan Panorama Hotels in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.  We have some restriction for the Dan Panorama in Eilat.

Our trip to Petra was also memorable.

Thank you very much for your help and hopefully we will retain your services in the future.

Sincerely

We had a wonderful time that exceeded all of our expectations.  I would highly recommend this tour and our guide Uri to everyone.  Thank you so much for a wonderful time.

Your recommendations for the Carlton & Mamilla hotels were perfect! We loved both hotels and could not have asked for better rooms, service or breakfasts! The staff at both hotels went above & beyond!
The tour guide Martin Stein was also excellent!!
The VIP transfer service was worth every penny!!! After the slight blip on the return trip the service whisked us through & we made it through in 20 minutes. The line for other travelers checking in was a 2 1/2 hour wait.
It was truly an amazing vacation and I can't wait to return to Israel again.
So thank you again, please feel free to use us,as a recommendation any time!

We enjoyed ourselves immensely, the history of the places was just overwhelming, the people were helpful, everything went as scheduled/planned from the tours to the flights to the accommodations. We had a wonderful time.

I would also like to thank you for putting our entire family of 2 adults and 3 children in business class on both legs of the Los Angeles to Istanbul and Istanbul to Los Angeles, when we had paid for economy class. Both these legs were 14 hours flying time each way. Once again, thank you so much and we definitely will recommend all our friends and colleagues to your travel agency. Your service is indeed exceptional.

My husband and I traveled with Shalom Journey's Tour of the Holyland, 7 days in May. The focus was Christian and we felt the trip was complete in following Jesus's journey throughout the area.

Shalom Journey's tour did not disappoint us in any way and we left the Holyland with wonderful memories and a love of Jerusalem. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind and he kept us on time so we did not miss any of the journey.

We would like to recommend the $40. book on the Holyland which also included CDs of 'Songs of Isreal' and 'Holyland Journey' that was sold by the tour guide. We would also like to recommend the 2 hr special on PBS on Jerusalam and the 1967 war before you leave on your journey.

Our first day in Tel Aviv allowed us enough time to do some errands since we had been in Egypt and required a tailor and a laundry. In the late afternoon/evening our hotel, Grand Beach, was within walking distance of a trendy marina with restaurants, locals jogging, walking dogs. We also walked from the Carmel Market to the Memorial to Rabin during the day giving us time to people watch. (such beautiful young people!!) Our camera was left by error on a park bench and a group of students hailed us down and returned it. A bonus!!!

All of it was very interesting and fun but the best of all was our time in Jerusalem. The Grand Court hotel was lovely and food made us wonder if we were on a cruise. We could not wait for breakfast and dinner, plus our late afternoon tea (or wine) stop at the bar.

While waiting to depart on our last day we went back to the Old City for another go at it. It is difficult to navigate without a guide but
we still had a lot of humor left when we got lost.

I still feel overwhelmed when I think I was at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Wailing Wall and Dome of the Rock.

Good job, Shalom Journeys, and we will recommend you highly to anyone planning a journey to the Holyland.

Roger and Carol Krueger.

Israel trip 2011 was by far my most amazing trip I have ever taken to the Holy Land. This was my fifth time in the Holy Land, but the first time using Shalom Journeys. I found there expertise and accommodations to be way above average. Even when one of our pilgrims had a passport issue and was separated from the group they accommodated extra transportation at no extra charge. They chose out hotels for us that were some of the best in the land and centrally located, the food for breakfast and lunch at these hotels were great. Our people felt like the food was more than adequate that most days they wanted to skip lunch. The tour bus was brand new, clean, and ran without a hitch. The tour bus driver kept us feeling safe, and was never rude with a smile always on his face. Last but not least, the tour guide was phenomenal. Wise in all matters of Israeli life past, present, and future. "Top Notch" our group kept calling him. He knew what he was talking about every step of the way and always made time to answer individual questions when people seemed confused. He knew his way around as an experienced guide never boring and never unconfident. I guarantee if I was to go to Israel again, I would use Shalom Journeys as my tour group and I would try to schedule a trip around the availability of the tour guide who was phenomenal. 5 stars!!!

I don't think you could experience Israel any better but though this trip and the itinerary we had.

2 thumbs WAY UP!

Hi Shalom,

Hope all is well with you and Aviva. I wanted to let you know that our private guided tour through Israel that you booked for my family was amazing! Shalom Journeys took care of every detail from the moment we stepped on the plane until we came home. The VIP service that we received upon landing in Israel was such a time saver and a great way to start our trip. The hotels that you chose for us were oustanding in every way and all had exceptional service. Our tour guide, Hillel, was phenomenal. Not only was he a pleasure to be with for six straight days, but he also knows EVERYTHING about Israel. He, like you and Aviva, went above and beyond to make sure that we had an amazing trip. The touring van was brand new and very comfortable. Additionally, just as you promised, you provided a great car seat for my two year old for the whole journey. Finally, your availability both before and during the trip, and your pleasant demeanor, meant so much to me and put me at complete ease. I would recommend using Shalom Journeys to anyone who wants to have every last detail taken care of for them and who wants to have a wonderful vacation. Thank you for everything!!

Dear Eyal,

We recently got back from our trip and it was more than we had expected!  Our tour guide, Aharon Yarov (sp?) was excellent.   He was truly a fountain of information and knew a tremendous amount of detail on just about every sight we went to see.  We later found out that he had studied History and Archeology and Bar Ilan University many years back.  Our hotel rooms were all spotless and comfortable.  The food both at the hotels and at the various restaurants we went to was wonderful!  My wife and I have always had a deep love and appreciation for Israel, but our vacation with Shalom Journeys accentuated our bond and feelings ten-fold.  We can hardly wait to return.

Finally, I want to thank you for all of your help in setting this up for us. You took care of all of our needs and made sure that we were happy.  You never tried to sell us services that we did not need and you carefully listened to us and worked hard  to make sure that we were satisfied. Chazak OoBaruch!

As I said earlier, we can hardly wait to return and when we do, it will only be through you and Shalom Journeys.

Dear Shalom,

I can't thank you enough for all the assistance and care you provided to us throughout the visit to Israel. The hotels were perfect, everything from check in to check out went smoothly.  The VIP airport service was probably the most beneficial part of the traveling experience.

Your suggested changes to our itinerary also made the week flow smoothly without incident.  But most importantly, you made an absolutely perfect choice with our guide, Hillel.

His knowledge and experience is par excellent; however he provided for me something much more valuable and life changing. He was able to go beyond the obvious, and touch at the very heart and soul of the complexities and dilemmas facing the State of Israel.

His descriptions and explanations of the archaeological/historical/religious sites may fade over time, but his passion, convictions and insights has created a lasting impression in my soul that words can’t describe.

Thanks again for being a part of this life changing experience.

Thanks Shalom for arranging the most wonderful experience in Eretz Yisroel!

Hillel was a fabulous guide and took us to some really fantastic places. His knowledge of history and his expertise of the sites that we toured were incomparable!

I can't begin to tell you how much I learned! The most moving place was The Valley of Tears. My older son was born in 1973 and there I was looking at the trees planted for those brave soldiers who gave their lives to defend our homeland in the same year!

The hotel accommodations were outstanding. We could have done without the Lavi's dining room, the accommodations were fine! Kibbutz food is just not our bag.)On our second night in the Golan, rather than dining at the Lavi, Hillel took us to a Kosher Chinese Restaurant on the Sea of Gallilee. Yummy!!!

After all is said and done just wanted to thank you for a great trip! I would certainly recommend your services to anyone planning on going to Israel. I would like to take my daughter there in a year or so and am sure I will be back in touch.

Hi, Shalom Even,
Now that we're back, I want to compliment you on the trip we had, 17 days
in Israel. Everything went as well as we could have expected. The only
part of the entire trip was the brutal air travel, which you had nothing
to do with.

We especially liked the guide on much of our time; Ori Stern. He had a
warm and friendly approach to giving us the information along the way.
The travel to and from the Gen Gurion airport was a very nice touch, just
as you said, and getting through the airport on our arrival was very
helpful, especially after a 10 hour flight. We especially liked the parts
of the tour that went into the Jewish aspects of Israel.

We would highly recommend your trip to anyone.

Dear Mr. Shalom,
I just want to let you know that the Holy Land tour that you arranged for us was super. I could not ask for more. The team had only 14 people, of which 6 of us were family members, so it felt like a private tour. Since the hotel in Jerusalem was walking distance from Old Jerusalem we were able to spent more time at our leisure in the evening and take time to do some shopping. The exrta day in Tel Aviv gave us time to go to Jaffa. We were also fortunate to attend mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on Palm Sunday. At the Carmel Market we were able to taste some fresh fruits. We had enough share of freshly squeezed pomegranate juice at most places. The tour guide and driver, Mr. Ahron was very knowledgeable, pleasant and explained every question with patience. My uncle and aunt from Tampa went for the Holy land tour with another company many years ago and they were able to see some new places too.I have been telling my friends that if they plan for such a trip, they should contact you.
Thanks again for this memorable trip of my life.
Keep up the excellent job. May God bless you and your family.
The only regret that I had was that my son could not come for lack of vacation time.

We got back on March 5 from our trip and I wanted to let you know how happy we were with Hillel’s guiding and Eli’s bus driving.  Hillel is so knowledgeable and shared at length on so many subjects.  I took copious notes in hopes of sharing what we learned with others along with our pictures. I imagine it’s a strategy to leave you wanting more so you will go back again and it sure worked with me. I wished I had had more time in several places we went. I realized we had to go to some places to help with the economy of Israel and I enjoyed the Kando family guidance in Bethlehem too. The story of how their grandfather was the first one the shepherds showed the Dead Sea scrolls to was awesome. We enjoyed the whole trip and were happily surprised the water tasted as good as our water here.  I can’t say enough about Hillel though. I highly recommend him. The hotels were great too. We found out there is no a/c in the winter and don’t turn it on because it will be heat. After the first night we figured out just to crack the window and it was pleasant that way. Thanks so much for all the arrangements you made so that our trip would be so wonderful!! I have already referred people if they are interested in using you for a trip. If we get to go again, we will be back in touch with you for sure.

Shalom & Hillel -- I just posted this on trip advisor. Thank you for an amazing experience.

I have just returned from a trip to Israel we booked through Shalom Journeys and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. We were seven in a van with Hiilel - a licensed Israeli guide fluent in English and Arabic. Our trip was 13 days (Hillel was with us for six days) and I would not have changed anything. I highly recommend using a guide in a small group because the guides are licensed and we had the flexibility to make changes to the scheduled itinerary. Having a guide negotiate the driving and admissions and other logistics was a real benefit, and he took us to some places like the Druze village and the Hecht museum at the University of Haifa that were not on the regular tour. We stayed at three Dan Panoramas and they were very nice -- the Dan Panorama Tel Aviv was on the beach and offered a fabulous view of the Mediterranean. Family favorites included Caesarea, Bet She'an, and the underground Western Wall Tours and water tunnel in the City of David. We also booked a day tour of Petra through Shalom from Eilat which involved a bit of a bus ride and a hike, but was worth the effort. My only complaint is that sometimes we ran out of day before we got everywhere we wanted to see. The sun sets at 5:30 in December which really takes a bite out of the day.

Dear Shalom,

Thank you so much for the wonderful tour of Israel that you arranged for us. Everything worked out splendidly. The selection of sites were astonishing and important. Some were Christen and most were either Jewish or Roman. All were ancient and unimaginable without actually seeing them.
Our guides were brilliant, helpful, good humored and so informative. Everyday they were absolutely punctual to the second. Our group was very compatible. I believe that most folks selecting this kind of trip are very interested in seeing the sites as well as helping the group to work together effectively. That was our experience.

Hi Shalom,
Well we are back two week already and still talking about our great experience with "The Holy Land Tour" in Israel. It was a little odd how we found you , but we felt comfortable with booking the trip with you, since you had a major background and knowledge of the country, not to mention you were born and raised there. So many travel agents just talked from brochures and booklets but don't really know what is there. The country was a wonderful mix of all faiths as my wife is Jewish and I am Catholic, we saw so much of both. The tour guide was full of knowledge and enjoyed telling us about each and every sight that we visited. We met wonderful people on the tour and it flowed without any problems. Anyone who is suspect about safety , should not worry. We all felt totally safe in Israel, Jordan, and Palestine. The City of Jerusalem was absolutely filled with so much
knowledge and history and we have decided we must go back again in the future. As much as we loved the trip it could not have been done with all the transfers, hotels, airfares, and side trips without your special planning. My wife and I realize this was a very intricate trip to put together with all our special requests, but you never told us it was too much trouble or unable to accomplish.

You and your wife are devoted to your service like no one we have ever seen. Your efforts on our part made this trip what it turned out to be. It was fabulous. If you have anyone who has questions in the future regarding your services or tour, please have them contact me. 917.217.0496.

Thank You
Karen & Anthony Fodera.

Dear Shalom:

The Soleds have arrived back from Israel. We had a wonderful time, but what made the trip particularly enjoyable was the time, energy, and dedication of our faithful tour guide. I probably don't need to tell you this, but Meir was the real McCoy. He knows his stuff inside and out. Kudos to you for somehow arranging him to be our Israeli "eyes".

Shalom.

Thank you for making the 20th tour I have led to the Holy Land the best one ever. The way you took care of every detail and went above and beyond what I expected has made me a Shalom Journeys client for a long, long time. I am already looking forward to our trip next year and will get you the details of the itinerary within the week, L-rd willing.

You and Aviva were so gracious to me and to every one of our guests; even those who had been before and those who travel a lot commented on how nice it was to work with such professionals.

I will recommend your service to many and have, in fact done so to a couple whom we met in Jerusalem that bring groups every year like I do. They are working with a company that I have in the past and when I told them how easy you made everything, they turned their travel arrangements over to me; and that means to us. I expect us to grow in our relationship and to help many guests experience the Israel of Shalom...

Keep praying.

Shalom!!! Greetings. I hope this note finds you doing well. We have been wanting to get back to you since we returned home from our AMAZING trip to Israel 2 months ago already. We are the couple that called you about 2 weeks before planning to go to Israel over Easter and Passover week. You had said you love working under pressure and we wanted to let you know that you did an awesome job arranging our day tours within the 2 weeks that you were given. Our tours ran so smoothly. The guides were always very prompt when picking us up at our hotels. Every detail was taken care of by you and your company that all we had to do was show up and sure enough there was the guide waiting to take us on our day tour. We were also very glad that we did decide to go with the day tours as opposed to the 8 or 9 day tour packages. It was nice having some days in between the touring to ourselves and exploring Israel on our own. Heck, we even rented a car one day and drove from Tel Aviv up North to Galilee. Needless to say, we became pretty comfortable in Israel. I know you said you never stayed at the Jerusalem Gate hotel and (though I'm very greatful that we had a place to stay in Jerusalem at all, given the busy time of year we planned to go, not to mention the short notice in booking a room) it definitely was not a hotel that we'd go back to. I'm not complaining, just letting you know for future reference. We also realized how far it was from the old city, so next time we go we know we'd like to stay closer to the old city. On the other hand, Dan Panorama in Tel Aviv was breath-taking in comparison! Not to mention the breakfasts were to die for. So thank you so very much Shalom for all of your help in arranging this unforgettable trip for us. We will never forget Israel and hopefully will be able to go back. We'd love to leave you a testimonial on your website.
Take care The Muchmores (Josh and Heather)

Shalom,
Thank you so much for providing the BEST service for my first trip to Israel. I was so pleased I did not want to return to USA. I want you to especially thank my tour guide Ronen, he went beyond and above the call of duty as a guide. I missed tipping him on the last day, however, what it is worth I think he deserves a promotion or pay raise. You guys are the 'BEST'. Thank you much and I hope to use your service in the future if GOD willing.

My sister, Deborah, and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. This was my fifth trip and her first.  I am healthy and used to walking; she has a heart problem and tires.  She departed from San Francisco, I from NY.  After checking with you as to where we might expect your representatives, I felt more at ease, and, as scheduled, I was met by a sign-carrying representative.  He found me a seat where I waited until my sister's plane arrived and we went together to the hotel.

The hotels (Dan Panorama) were excellent and of course the Israeli breakfasts are incomparable.  As we wanted, there were a maximum of 9 or 10 other people on the tour.  One disconcerting fact that was not really a problem was that all the people had booked from different tour operators--I believe we were the only two who had booked directly with you.  The tour guides were from "Rent A Guide," which left me a little nervous, but Jacky, our first guide, was beyond belief.  He was patient and concerned about my sister and playful with the 13-year-old boy in the group.  He was also very knowledgeable and dealt well with political questions without imposing his personal beliefs.  He was with us from Sunday-Friday. There was a bit of confusion prior to the start of the tour, since there were so many groups waiting in the lobby and we had no idea who to look for.  When he left us on Friday, he had the name of the second guide and time of departure.  He knew that the following week he had 40 people in his group, which made me wonder if we would have been in a larger group had we traveled the following week, something that would not have been good.  The second guide was rather weak-not nearly as personable, but we were with him only a few days.  The volcanic ash incident occurred during the last few days and many of us were nervous. He offered no help, but the young man at the desk of the Eilat Dan Panorama was wonderful and managed to call the airport and find out that my flight was scheduled to depart. I had a very early morning departure (6 AM) and my driver was 30 minutes late.  I had already asked the front desk to call a taxi.  The taxi driver and my driver arrived almost simultaneously, my driver offering no apology.  And you know what Ben Gurion Airport is like!

Your itinerary was very comprehensive and almost everything I saw was new.  Petra was beyond expectations and the transitions between the two countries were smooth.  I would (and have donealready) recommend your company.

Dear Shalom,
We just got home this morning from Israel and I wanted to email you right away about what an amazing experience we had on our trip because of you.  Every detail that you organized for us (the hotels, the tour guide, the airport transfers) was perfectly executed.  We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation because you did all the hard work for us.  Our tour guide Hillel was the highlight of our trip.  He was so knowledgeable, thoughtful, organized, interesting and funny that the two days we spent with him were just a total delight.  Even though we were in Israel for less than a week we saw and experienced so much in that short time that it felt way longer than that.   Thank you again for making our first visit to Israel so memorable and fun and easy.  Sincerely, Claudia and Sam Fenner

Shalom, I thought you might be interested in the following information about the twelve tours that I have done in Israel … and my numbers of individuals involved:

1984 – 17; 1988 – 8; 1990 – 10; 1992 – 14; 1993 – Fam Tour – 27; 1994 – 11; 1996 – 16; 1998 – 8; 2005 – 16; 2006 – 35; 2007 – 39; 2008 – 37 … for a grand total of 238 individuals involved in traveling to Israel.  That was in 12 tours over a period of 24 years!  And all of that was organized by Shalom and Aviva, how does that sound for a satisfied customer!? Have a great day!  And thanks for this wonderful relationship that we have enjoyed over almost a quarter of a century!

Dear Shalom Even:
We are back in Miami following a wonderful journey that you arranged. My compliments to you and Shalom Journey.. Everything went smoothly and it was as you predicted. My family, including my 5 year old grandson enjoyed a memorable experience. Hillel is a very good guide, driver and kind person who did more than the usual guide. His knowledge was extensive as was his patience. He made me a little nervous when he didn't call ahead the first day for the start pick up time -- but I found him. He is very good. Your call to us in his car as we traveled was a very nice follow up to see that all was going well as it did..

Thank you again for a good journey and your reliability.

Shalom:
I have wanted to post my compliments about, and express my appreciation for, the professionals at Diesenhaus Tours and Shalom Journeys - but have been too busy since my family returned from Israel at the end of March, 2008. This thread gives me the PERFECT opportunity to do so now.

In my experience, both of these companies are long-standing, reputable, and extremely "traveler friendly" companies. Together, Shalom Even and his wife Aviva, owners of Shalom Journeys, efficiently assisted, educated, accomodated, and otherwise created a travel opportunity that exceeded my expectations in EVERY regard.

My wife and I searched the web, in January, 2008 looking for a trip that matched our schedule, budget, and objectives for a 10-day trip that we wanted to take in March -- a mere 60 days later! We bought travel insurance; we cancelled travel insurance; we booked the trip - and then we "tweaked" it to even better fit the spring break of our children. Shalom and Aviva worked with us with care, consideration, and expertise that clearly demonstrated their decades of experience. I called Shalom no less than 6 times. Each and every time he had the details of my trip at his fingertips. He is a man with a heart of gold and a love for Israel and is passionate about helping his clients.

The tour company Diesenhaus provides Shalom Journeys with the product, the tools, the flexibility, the support and the "on-the-ground" delivery of services that make everyone involved look like heroes!

I would be pleased to work with both companies again and would be happy to share more details of our experiences.

Thanks, Shalom

We wanted to write to you to express our thanks for the excellent arrangements you made for our recent trip to Israel, Egypt, and Jordan.  I know that we made you go above and beyond your normal services to meet all of our needs, especially the scuba diving.

All of the guides were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The travel plan was well thought out.  All of our tour guides were on time and willing to accommodate our requests.  In fact, Gerges  Sh. Ayad, our tour guide in Egypt volunteered to take one evening and escort us to the Old Market for a tour, dinner, and a show.

As for the tours in general, we were very surprised that we were not on a large tour bus with 50 – 60 others.  We were scheduled to travel in a van with 7 other people.  This was very comfortable.  We were able to see much more than those in the tour buses basically because we were such a small group and did not waste time loading/unloading the bus and loosing people.  At one point, we talked to a couple from a tour bus at lunch.  They said that they were already 2 hours behind schedule for the day and were not going to be able to visit all of the sites.  We were able to visit all of the planned sites and were not rushed for time.  In fact, we were able to make some additional stops that were not planned.

As for the SCUBA Diving; this was arranged by your office through Sinai Divers in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt.  They are truly a professional dive company.  Their dive instructors are very thorough with the check out dives, provided a detailed tour of the dive shop and services, and presented excellent dive plans with much detail.  Their boats (24 meter by 6-1/2 meter) were large and spacious.  We did not feel rushed and a longer than usual surface interval was scheduled between each dive.  We have been diving all over the world and this is, by far, the most professional dive company we have ever dived with.  I have only one suggestion: the itinerary needed to have some additional detail as it was not as understandable as it could have been. Thank you again for all of your work,
Barb and Denny Gallagher.

Shalom: Bob and I were extremely happy with our trip to Israel, Jordan and Egypt organized by Shalom Journeys.  As many seasoned travelers do, we have planned trips on our own.  This trip, however, required perfect timing and knowledge of transportation options for visiting all of these areas as succinctly as possible.

The tour guides you arranged were on time at each place, including airport pickup.  The guides were knowledgeable about the sites we visited, and all of them took us to all planned areas as well as a few extra "gems" along the way.
The trip was effortless from the beginning to the end.  You made sure all of our arrangements were perfect for flights, ground transport and accommodations.

Thank you again for your professional services.  The trip was well worth the money paid.

Hello Shalom,

Here is a brief testimonial for you about our trip...

Having taken many tour groups to Israel over the past years I have both used tour companies and went 'on my own'.  Shalom Journeys proved to be a wonderful company for our group trip this March.  Everything was as advertised and the driver and guide were the best I have had to date.  We received personal attention and every detail that our group wanted was provided.

I really enjoyed several options as we traveled that were not on the itinerary I designed.  The guide came to understand our unique group and then made a couple of suggestions that fit us perfectly.  One such place while on the Golan was the olive oil factory.  What a treat.

I will be using Shalom Journeys again and again for my Israel tour connection.  Everything was perfect.  Thank you again.

Robert Lavala

PS - Shalom... I'm looking at March 1 - 12 for next year.  Please let me know what my starting prices are if they are different from this year.  Thanks.

Dear Shalom,
I just wanted to let you know how much our last trip to the Holy Land and to Rome meant to us and to our group. Though the temperature was quite cold even for this time of the year, there were no clouds or rain to spoil our Familiarization Tour. There were no lines or crowds to speak of and we were able to add a couple of bonus stops that were not included in our itinerary. All in all, it was one of the better tours my wife and I have hosted. Our Group truly enjoyed the guide you recommended Hillel and his vast knowledge of the history, the sites and the scriptures which helped to make this tour so informative. The hotels were also good: The Metropolitan in Tel Aviv up-graded us into the Suites side of their facility. The Golden Tulip in Tiberias is now an all-inclusive hotel which added to everyone’s enjoyment. The Moriah Classic in Jerusalem was busy for this time of year, but very accommodating to us. The Hotel Oxford in Rome was exceptional in its service, meals and the room given to us as hosts, could not have been better.I believe that you will receive other positive responses and even a couple of new Tour Hosts resulting from this journey. I have offered my own assistance and experience to help these prospective Tour Leaders with making out their own itinerary and with promoting and managing their own future tours to Israel. We look forward to our next tour with you.

Shalom, We just wanted to check in with you to tell you that we had a wonderful trip.  The Jewish Heritage trip itself was fantastic - both for first timers (like the Shacters were) as well as for us (it was our third trip).  The sites chosen and the guide (Tomar) were truly wonderful and very knowledgeable Every detail was taken care of from the transportation details at all the airports to the actual guided trip.We also had a great time with Hillel as our guide for the trip through the Negev to Eilat.  And by the way - we LOVED Petra (even though with security and all it was a long day).  I would have rather somehow been on a smaller tour of Petra.  We did a lot of waiting around and gathering of passports because we were set up on Echo Tours and they had 2 bus loads of a total of 80 people.) The hotels were all wonderful on the regular tour. I also wanted to update you on the Nova hotel in Eilat (since it was New Year's eve we couldn't get reservations in any of the other hotels). It was absolutely adequate. Clean, no frills, but a bit out of the way. Not terrrible, but certainly not great. But we did know to expect that since we had no other choices. Thanks for everything that you and Aviva did. We will certainly recommend you. Bonnie and John Salmon

Dear Shalom and Aviva,
Please forgive the time lapse since we came home from our trip on October 17th.  We were busy with family matters that have since settled. We had an unbelievable trip to Israel.  Everything was very organized and presented on the Grand Tour.  Our tour guide Tomar, was very informative and we learned so much and saw so much.  The Dan Panorama Hotels were top knotch and the breakfast meals were so delicious.  THe people who selected the lowest grade E were not nearly as happy as we were with D.  We made wonderful friends from our bus including Emanull and Sofia Zhitomirsky from Boston that Aviva booked.  They were on the same tour including Eilat.  We merged with the Jewish Heritage Group that was twice as big.Let me know if you would like pictures of Benny Kahn, Alfred's son.  He took us around the 1st couple days in Tel Aviv to Herzylia and we spent Shabbos with them at Boca Beach. We were enchanted with Jersusalem and spent many evening on Ben Yahuda street.  We enjoyed Ramons, Olive, and Olive and Fish for Kosher and Adom and Dolphin for Friday & Sat (non-kosher). On our own we shopped in the shuks and did walking on our own in Jersualem and when we were in Tel Aviv.  Diesengof street was not as lively as I remembered it my last visit in the 70's.  We loved Haifa, Zfat, Gallelie and the Negev was beautiful.  Lavi Kibbutz had wonderful food and Kibbutz life was very interesting to learn about. My husband is a fan of long vacations but this was a trip where he never complained, and felt very emotional about our Jewish Homeland.  We have some much to be proud of in Israel.  Thank you for your arrangements(2 times) for Shekeanu.  We will recommend to you our friends at our synagogue.
Sincerely.
